Features
Lumen Levels & Battery Life
The lumen level is a bit confusing if this is the first time using an Olight product. But it's very easy once I show you how to read the table below:
LEVEL 1 (lumens) - 1750(~500lm) (~200lm)
Run-time LEVEL 1 - 4+206+40mins
Meaning 4.5 mins of 1750 from full charge, then it automatically drops down to 500 lumens for 206 mins, then drops down to 200 lumens for 40 mins
LEVEL 2 (lumens) - 500 - 200 lm
Run-time LEVEL 2 - 218 + 55 mins
Meaning 218 mins on 218 lumens from full charge, then it automatically drops down to 200 lumens for 55 mins
LEVEL 3 (lumens) - 120 lm
Run-time LEVEL 3 - 19 hrs
Meaning 19 hrs on 120 lumens from full charge
LEVEL 4 (lumens) - 15 lm
Run-time LEVEL 4 - 164 hrs
LEVEL 5 (lumens) - 1 lm
Run-time LEVEL 5 - 45 days

NEW Proximity Sensor - The Most Important Feature
The proximity sensor is built on the side of the reflector, and it doesn't affect the light beam shape.
The lumen intensity drops when the sensor detects near by surface to prevent blinding the user's eyes.
At about 4.5" is where the sensor automatically regulate the lumen intensity, then it will go back to full intensity after moving away from a surface.
It only works for 1750 lumens (Turbo) to 500 lumens, and 500 to 200 lumens.
At lower lumen intensity settings, the sensor isn't activated.
In raining condition, the water droplets will also activate the sensor.
Non Aggressive Lens Bezel
The Olight Warrior Mini 2 features an non aggressive lens bezel for every day carry users, so it will not cut up your pants pockets day in and day out.
Strobe Mode
The strobe feature can be activated via pressing the thumb button or the tail cap. The user can program the strobe activation method based on preference by doing the following:
Press & Hold Tail Switch (If not already in strobe mode), then press side switch once to enter instant strobe mode
The strobe mode is for signaling, draw immediate attention and as a close up personal defense blinding tool.
Tail Cap & Thumb Button Activation
The user can activate the light using the tail cap switch or the side switch.
The tail switch is for tactical thumb grip light activation
It gives positive feedback, water sealed, and it can be programmed between constant on/off or instant strobe. The raised height of the button gives the user more tactile feel of the control with or without gloves.
The side switch is used for cycling through different lumen settings
Note: The mode cycling switch works better if the proximity sensor isn't near a surface, otherwise it will not engage.
For personal defense use, for personal defense, we actually recommend checking out the Olight M2R Pro because it has a more powerful lumen intensity and features strike bezel rings.
You can absolutely use the Warrior Mini 2 for personal defense, but not as a striking tool.
For steady momentary on light, the user just need to press the tail cap half way to activate, which is highly recommended to leave light in this mode to give the user super tactile & responsive button operation.
The thumb activation button is an EDC feature that allows for constant-on and to cycle through different lumen intensities by double tapping the button.
Magnetic Base
One thing we absolutely love about every Olight light product is the magnetic base. It's pretty much the standard for all of their lights.
It's a charging port and a mounting platform.
The user can stick the light to any magnetic surfaces to provide hands free light mounting solution.
Use For Emergency Lighting
Grip Texturing
The Olight Warrior Mini 2 features full length aggressive knurling textures to give the user a very positive grip without slipping when activating the light via tactical grip.
It doesn't feature any anti rotation geometry, but the metal carrying clip helps prevent rolling while placing it on a inclined surface.
Carrying Clips
The main metal carrying clip is snapped in place in a fixed position without rotational freedom.
The tail cap retention clip features a small metal ring for lanyard attachment, and it can rotate around the light body.
For normal daily carrying, the clip will not fall out unless the user deliberately apply pressure to pull it out for a much more comfortable tactical grip.
The user can comfortably carry it in the pocket and also clip it on a hat for POV lighting.
Rechargeable Battery
The Warrior Mini 2 features the same 3.6V 18650 battery with 3500 mAh capacity.
The 18650 type battery is the most common modern day battery for this size that can provide high output capability over CR123A.
It's also rechargeable to save you money.
Power Indicator
The power indicator shows the user the status of the battery:
Green - 75% or more
Orange - 30-75%
Red - Less than 30% left
Durability
The light is made out of aerospace grade aluminum. Under normal use, this thing is built to last.
Does it survive drop? take a look:
It's also rated for 1.5 meter drop (5 ft drop). Waterproof up to 2 meters.

Wrap Up
The Olight Warrior Mini 2's proximity sensor is the key feature of this light for anyone looking for a smart EDC light that can automatically adjust lumen intensity when approaching a hard surface without blinding the eyes.
Overall, the Warrior Mini 2 is similar to the original Mini even it's actually slightly bigger but it's also much more powerful.
