Before you buy a red dot for your brand new Glock gen 6, whether it's a 17 or 19. Just know that Gen 6 has a different optic plate system than other generation, but the footprint is still the same for most of the stuff on the market.

RMR is still RMR, RMSC is still RMSC, so nothing really changes.

But The factory optic plates are POLYMER! which many people hate, and that means if you don't want your optic to shear off the slide and you want a better wedging, you gonna have to get aftermarket like from CHPWS.

CHPWS offers a better solution you may not realize you need. The factory plate isn't design to wedge the optic on the slide. meaning there is not front or rear fencing wall. Aka there is this gap.

If you charge the slide up against a hard surface it will definitely share off the recoil lugs because there is no other physical material supporting it.

It also means:

putting all the stress on the screws.

while some people like direct mounting, which is okay, but it lowers the optic deck height for some users, and they want to raise it a little because the grip angle of the Gen 6 hasn't really changed.

It's still a glock at the end of the day.
