Holosun EPS - Best Weatherproof
The EPS (Enclosed Pistol Sight) is a game-changer for G19 users who carry daily. Because the emitter is inside a sealed box, you don't have to worry about lint, dust, or rain blocking your dot.
Between high end brand like the Trijicon RCR, the Holosun EPS offers a much price friendier option as an enclosed emitter optic.
The EPS features an incredibly low deck height. On a Glock 19 with a milled slide or a thin adapter plate, you can often achieve a "near-witness" with factory-height or mid-height iron sights, providing a much cleaner sight picture than bulky suppressor-height sights.
Mounting Tip: It uses the "K" footprint. If your G19 is MOS-ready, use the included RMR-to-K adapter plate. Be careful with screw length; ensure the screws don't interfere with the extractor plunger on the right side of the slide.
Trijicon RMR Type 2 - Best Durability

Best for G19s used in USPSA Carry Optics or for home defense where speed is more critical than ultimate "drop-from-a-plane" durability.
Leupold DeltaPoint Pro - Faster Target Acquisition
The DPP offers a taller, more square window than the RMR, and many shooters find the Leupold glass to be the clearest in the industry with zero "blue tint."
The DPP has a very high deck height. This will require extra-tall suppressor-height sights to co-witness on a G19.

Swampfox optics use the RMR footprint, but they often ship with a variety of screws. For a Glock 19 MOS, you must verify the screw length on the right side. If the screw is even 1mm too long, it will bottom out on the extractor depressor plunger, leading to failure-to-extract malfunctions.
Always "hand-test" your extractor after mounting. With the slide off and the optic mounted, push the extractor with your finger; if it doesn't move freely, your right-side screw is too long.
Burris Fast Fire 3 - Best For The Money
The FastFire 4 is a significant upgrade over the older FastFire 3, primarily because it finally includes a removable "weather shield" that can turn the open emitter into a semi-enclosed system.
On a Glock 19 MOS, you cannot use the standard #02 RMR plate; you must use the #01 MOS plate.
One unique feature of the FF4 is the selectable reticles (3 MOA dot, 11 MOA dot, or circle-dot). For a Glock 19 used for home defense, the 11 MOA dot is surprisingly effective, and it works well if you have mild astigmatism, and that's almost 2X a 6 MOA.
The FastFire 4 has a relatively high deck height compared to the Holosun SCS. To get a backup iron sight picture on a G19, you will need Extra-Tall Suppressor Sights (.365" front / .451" rear).
